The Crest

The official crest of Campion College Australia depicts key aspects
of the institution's educational and religious identity. The motto, ‘Educating
for Eternity’, is presented in both Latin and English, and
intended to convey the exalted purpose and enduring hope of the
College.
The inner ring of the crest contains four sections, each testifying to a distinctive
mark of the institution:
- the first, 'IHS', is a Greek monogram for the name of Jesus,
while also invoking the motto reminiscent of the College's
Jesuit patron, St Edmund Campion;
- the second, the papal tiara, attests to the Catholic identity
and doctrinal fidelity of the institution;
- the third, the book and the quill pen, reflects the consecration
to learning and the comprehension of truth; and
- the fourth, the constellation of the Southern Cross, displays
the Australian character of the College and its image as a
cross of stars shining an unfading light on the 'South Land
of the Holy Spirit'.
