Scholarships

Campion College offers several Scholarships of varying amounts.

Successful applicants will receive a Scholarship for one year, and continuing students must reapply.

Scholarships are competitive, and awarded on the basis of merit. Students may apply for one or all of the types of Scholarships, although a maximum of one Scholarship will be awarded per student for any given year.

Every Scholarship Application must be supported by the following documentation, which must be tailored to the particular type of Scholarship. (If you apply for two types of Scholarships, then you must submit two sets of each of the following documents outlined below):

  1. Scholarship Application Form;
  2. Written Statement (one page outlining why you believe you should be the recipient of this type of Scholarship);
  3. Written References; and
  4. Awards, certificates and commendations.

Scholarship monies are paid into the student’s nominated bank account on a fortnightly basis. Alternatively, students may request to have their instalments directly offset their Residential Accommodation fees.

You may choose to apply for one or more of the following types of Scholarships:

Campion College Australia offers Scholarships for students who have excelled, and continue to excel in their studies.

In order to be eligible, newly enrolled students must have achieved a minimum ATAR of 90.00 (or equivalent); continuing students must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 80%.

Students are not required to apply for this Scholarship, as they will be considered on the basis of their academic results.

This type of Scholarship is awarded for a term of one year, and will be reviewed mid-year; the continuation of the Scholarship is subject to satisfactory academic progress and continued enrolment in the program of study for which the Scholarship was awarded.

The amount awarded for this type of Scholarship ranges from $2000 to $10000, per annum.

NO APPLICATION REQUIRED.

Leadership Scholarships acknowledge students who demonstrate innovative and enterprise-driven leadership which impacts their academic work, or community environments.

This type of Scholarship is awarded for a term of one year, and will be reviewed mid-year; the continuation of the Scholarship is subject to satisfactory academic progress and continued enrolment in the program of study for which the Scholarship was awarded.

In order to be eligible for this type of Scholarship, students should demonstrate:

 

  • That they have been in a leadership position in either their school or community, by providing appropriate references
  • satisfactory academic performanceAcceptance of this Type of Scholarship requires a student to:
  • Maintain a successful academic record (Weighted Average Mark of 75%)
  • Be involved in College events, activities and student clubs in a leadership role;
  • Demonstrate initiative in their studies and in College life;
  • Be of service to peers and the College and local community; and
  • Promote and support Campion College.The amount awarded for this type of Scholarship ranges from $2000 to $6000, per annum.

Application Checklist:
In order apply for one of the Leadership Scholarships, you must submit the following:

☐ References (e.g. from a teacher, Parish Priest, or local council member)
☐ Relevant awards, certificates and commendations (e.g. a Duke of Edinburgh Award or a Leadership Award which you received at school or in your community)

 

 

Through Sporting Scholarships, Campion College recognises the importance of sport in the development of a person’s character.

This type of Scholarship is awarded for a term of one year, and will be reviewed mid-year; the continuation of the Scholarship is subject to satisfactory progress and continued commitment to sport.

In order to be eligible for this type of Scholarship, students should demonstrate:

 

  • That they are active in a particular field of sport, by providing references from their coach/trainer, and evidence of their achievements in the field (e.g. certificates, awards)
  • Satisfactory academic performanceAcceptance of this type of Scholarship requires a student to:
  • Continue being active in their sport;
  • Maintain a successful academic record (Weighted Average Mark of 70%).
  • Represent Campion College at Intervarsity competitions, if applicable;
  • Participate in the organisation of events at Campion College, in their respective sport; and
  • Promote and support Campion College.The amount awarded for this Type of Scholarship ranges from $2000 to $6000, per annum.

Application Checklist:
In order to apply for one of the Sporting Scholarships, you must submit the following:

☐ Relevant awards, certificates and commendations (e.g. awards received for your sporting achievements)

 

 

The traditional Trivium of the Liberal Arts included disciplines – Logic, Grammar and Rhetoric – which are connected with human communication. Campion College, as a Liberal Arts College, consequently nurtures and values effective communication and offers a Media and Communications Scholarship.

This type of Scholarship is awarded for a term of one year, and will be reviewed mid-year; the continuation of the Scholarship is subject to satisfactory academic progress and continued involvement in relevant activities.

In order to be eligible for this type of Scholarship, students should demonstrate:

 

  • That they have acquired some level of experience in the field of media and communications by providing appropriate references and/or evidence of achievements; and
  • Satisfactory academic performanceAcceptance of this type of Scholarship requires a student to:
  • Maintain a successful academic record (Weighted Average Mark of 75%).
  • Represent Campion College at debating competitions, if applicable;
  • Participate in the organisation of debating and public speaking events at the College;
  • Contribute to the publication of the student tabloid, The Sextant; and
  • Promote and support Campion College.The amount awarded for this type of Scholarship ranges from $2000 to $6000 per annum.

Application Checklist:
In order to apply for one of the Media and Communications Scholarships, you must submit the following:

☐ Written Statement (one page outlining why you believe you should be the recipient of a Media and Communications Scholarship)
☐ References (e.g. from your Debating or Mock Trial teacher, or an employer)
☐ Relevant awards, certificates and commendations (e.g. a certificate commending your participation in Debating, or a commendation from an employer which relates to the field of media and communication)

 

 

Campion College has had many gifted students over the years, who have distinguished themselves not only academically but also for the artistic talents and skills. Campion College recognises the value of cultivating the fine arts and performing arts as expression of a particular aesthetics, tradition and culture.

The College offers Fine Arts and Performing Arts Scholarships in order to encourage students to continue cultivating their talents during their studies.

This type of Scholarship is awarded for a term of one year, and will be reviewed mid-year; the continuation of the Scholarship is subject to satisfactory academic progress and continued cultivation of their artistic talents.

In order to be eligible for this type of Scholarship, students should demonstrate:

 

  • Proficiency in the Fine Arts or the Performing Arts by providing evidence pertaining to one of these areas (e.g. certificates, awards, relevant references, etc.); and
  • Satisfactory academic performanceAcceptance of this type of Scholarship requires a student to:
  • Maintain a successful academic record (Weighted Average Mark of 70%).
  • Represent Campion College at competitions , if applicable;
  • Participate in the organisation of events, by performing or exhibiting their work; and
  • Promote and support Campion College.The amount awarded for this Type of Scholarship ranges from $2000 to $6000 per annum.

Application Checklist:
In order to apply for one of the Fine Arts or Performing Arts Scholarships, you must submit the following:☐ Scholarship Application Form
☐ Written Statement (one page outlining why you believe you should be the recipient of one of the Fine Arts or Performing Arts Scholarships)
☐ References (e.g. from your music, art or drama teacher)
☐ Relevant awards, certificates and commendations (e.g. an award from a Fine Arts or Performing Arts competition)

 

 

This Scholarship acknowleges the cultural value that ATSI students bring to College life, and offers financial support for such students who demonstrate their academic ability.

This type of scholarship is awarded on an annual basis and is reviewed mid-year as continuation of the scholarship is subject to satisfactory academic progress.

In order to be eligible the student must:

  • Have obtained an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of 80 or above;
  • Identify as an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander

Acceptance of this Type of Scholarship requires a student to:

  • Maintain a successful academic record (Weighted Average Mark of 70%)
  • Promote and support Campion College.

The amount awarded for this type of scholarship ranges from $2,000 to $6,000 per annum.
