Campion Introduces Diploma of Classical Languages
Campion College Australia is proud to announce that it is now accredited to offer a Diploma of Classical Languages.
Latin and Greek, the two languages which will be studied in the diploma, are far from dead – contemporary culture subtly works them into the texture of our everyday discourse. An understanding of these languages not only gives students the chance to learn a second or even third language, but also provides students with an opportunity to develop a variety of intellectual and practical skills. These skills include an appreciation of the value of other cultures, being able to engage critically in long standing literary, philosophical and historiographical traditions and gaining mastery of the ancient art of rhetoric. Students acquire highly unique and valuable skills in communication, with broad professional applications.
To obtain a diploma, students must complete eight units. Students can only take this course on a part-time basis. It may be studied concurrently with a Bachelor course, whether at Campion College Australia or at another higher education institution, or by graduates of another Bachelor Course. All units of study in the diploma will be delivered on site at Campion College.
