Campion update on Coronavirus

18 Mar 2020

Letter from the President regarding COVID-19
18 March 2020

In light of recent announcements regarding public health and COVID-19, I am writing to inform you of the measures Campion College has taken to date as well as our plans for the coming weeks.

Campion College has had in place cautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of our staff, students and guests during this unprecedented time. This includes additional cleaning, the introduction of new protocols pertaining to college life and various other preventative measures.

The federal government has announced new restrictions on gatherings, now limited to 100 people. This means we are still within the recommended limit; however to minimise our interaction with the greater Sydney community we are limiting external visitors on campus.

As yet there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on campus and all classes are going ahead as scheduled. In the event the college must suspend classes on campus, we have plans in place to minimise adverse effects on Semester 1 studies.

Campion College is closely monitoring the situation and will continue to follow the government’s advice. We will continue to keep staff and students informed on the situation.

Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected, particularly the vulnerable. Please continue to look after yourselves and one another during this time.

Dr Paul Morrissey
