Thomas Flynn read Classics at the University of Oxford, as a member of Merton College, and graduated in 2000. He worked for the ProLife Alliance in London and Australians for Constitutional Monarchy in Sydney before studying for an MPhil in theology at the University of Notre Dame Australia. His MPhil thesis was on ARCIC, Apostolicae curae, and the validity of Anglican Orders. Thomas has been teaching Latin and Greek at Campion since 2015 and was appointed Archbishop Polding Lecturer in Classics in 2017.
