There’s a different energy to Campion College. You feel it the moment you walk through the gates: a quiet confidence, a strong sense of identity, and a genuine warmth that binds its community together. It’s this unique spirit that sets Campion College apart – and it’s exactly what we aim to share at our annual Festival & Open Day.

On Saturday 18 October, we’re opening our doors – and our hearts – to prospective students, families, alumni, locals and long-time friends of the college. But this isn’t just an open day in the traditional sense. It’s a celebration of everything that makes Campion College what it is: a place of intellectual discovery, rich tradition, authentic community and joy.

Founded to offer something truly different in Australian higher education, Campion College is the country’s first tertiary institution dedicated to the liberal arts. Our three-year Bachelor of Arts in the Liberal Arts combines the study of history, literature, philosophy and theology, with the option to study Classical Latin and Classical Greek. Students learn how to think, write, speak, question and understand – not just for a job, but for life.

But the Campion College experience extends well beyond the classroom. Here, education is not only about gaining knowledge, but also about forming character. Our campus community is built on friendship, faith and a shared pursuit of truth. In many ways, the Campion College Festival & Open Day is a reflection of that life – and we warmly invite you to experience it for yourself.

The event will run from 10.00am to 3.00pm at our Toongabbie campus in Western Sydney, with something for everyone – from information sessions and student performances to market stalls and sweet treats. Whether you’re weighing up your study options for 2026, looking for a family-friendly outing, or simply curious about what we do, this is a day designed to welcome you in.

Throughout the day, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the campus, attend a mini lecture, and meet current students. Our team will be available to answer questions about course content, scholarships, accommodation and student life, while the Campion College Hub will serve as your one-stop shop for information packs, merchandise, and details about our foundation and giving opportunities.

For prospective students, there’s no better way to get a feel for what studying at Campion College is like. You’ll experience first-hand the close-knit, values-based environment that shapes the Campion College approach to tertiary study. Small class sizes, mentorship, a robust humanities curriculum and a strong Catholic identity are the cornerstones of our offering – and they’re woven into every aspect of the day.

But the Open Day is also a festival – in the truest sense of the word. It’s about joy, connection and community. One of the real highlights is the second-hand book sale, a much-loved feature for students, locals and bibliophiles alike. Whether you’re searching for a rare edition, a classic work of philosophy, or just something new to read, it’s a treasure trove worth exploring – and many visitors come just for this.

In between campus tours and information sessions, you can also enjoy a sausage sizzle from the Campion Café, indulge in fairy floss and ice cream, or pick up handmade goods from our Friends of Campion market stalls. Children will be kept entertained with face painting and craft activities, and there’ll be live student-led performances throughout the day to bring the campus to life.

We’re proud that the Festival & Open Day has become a much-anticipated tradition in our calendar – and not just for those considering enrolment. Alumni return to catch up with old friends and lecturers. Locals stop by to explore the grounds and soak in the atmosphere. Families attend year after year, not because they’re seeking information, but because they enjoy being part of something good.

Registering ahead of time allows you to secure your place in key activities and ensures you receive a welcome pack – plus, it enters you into the draw for a special Campion College prize. For those travelling from further afield, we invite prospective students and their families to stay on campus the night before. Please contact our Future Students Advisor on (02) 9896 9303 to secure a room.

We know that choosing a college or university is a big decision. But we also believe that it’s not just about brochures and presentations – it’s about finding a place that feels right. A place that aligns with your values, challenges your intellect, and supports your growth. A place where you’re not just another number in a lecture hall, but a valued member of a learning community. For many of our students, that place has been – and still is – Campion College.

So we invite you to join us on Saturday 18 October, not just to gather information, but to experience something different. This is not your average open day. It’s an open invitation to witness a college that believes tertiary education is more than a transaction – it’s a transformative journey rooted in tradition, faith and fellowship.

Come for the insights, stay for the atmosphere, and leave with a better sense of who we are – and perhaps, who you might become here.
