Welcome to our dedicated webpage for high school teachers and career advisors. Here we provide a central repository of information, links and resources relevant to advising your students about studying at Campion.

About Campion

Campion College is Australia’s first and only liberal arts college. We offer a unique tertiary experience for both residential and day students, inspired by the great traditions of higher learning in the liberal arts going back to Plato’s Academy and drawing from the educational models of more recent liberal arts colleges in Europe and North America. Our students are provided with a broad education which encourages personal, intellectual and spiritual development before pursuing vocational specialisation.

Admission Information

Campion College encourages high school students to undertake the ATAR pathway. The minimum ATAR requirement (or IB equivalent) for our courses is 70. Students who receive an ATAR below 70 may utilise our Education Access Scheme to receive an ATAR adjustment of up to five points or get in touch with our Student Recruitment Manager to discuss provisional enrolment.

Students who will not receive an ATAR may sit the Special Tertiary Admissions Test or complete the Campion Bridging Program. Please contact our Student Recruitment Manager on (02) 9896 9303 or via study@campion.edu.au for advice on these pathways.

All applications to study at Campion are made directly through the college website. Learn more.

All NSW-based students who complete Studies in Catholic Thought as part of their Higher School Certificate are eligible to receive credit towards two level-100 theology units, effectively reducing their first-year workload by 25 per cent. Students who would like to receive credit for these units should submit a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) form after enrolling.

We believe that no student should ever miss out on a Campion education for financial reasons. We are committed to making our programme of liberal arts education as accessible as possible, by providing various means of financial aid to students. Over 70 per cent of our students receive scholarships or financial aid from the college. Additionally, there are no up-front tuition fees for students utilising the government’s FEE-HELP student loan scheme.

Services for your students

Our Student Recruitment Manager can provide a tailored presentation either in person at your school or virtually via Zoom on topics including degree information, pathways to Campion College, student life, scholarships and how to apply. Our 20-minute lunchtime talks are most popular but we also welcome the opportunity to speak to year groups for a full class period. We can also provide a 15-minute, pre-recorded presentation which is perfect for inclusion in newsletters to students or shorter career sessions you may offer.

If you are hosting a careers expo or careers night at your school, we would love the opportunity to take part in this event. Our Student Recruitment Manager is available to make a quick speech or set up a table with brochures and information for students and parents.

Our esteemed academics are available to give guest lectures to your students on topics in history, literature, philosophy, theology and classical languages. Our College President, Dr Paul Morrissey, is also available to deliver spirituality talks as part of pastoral care sessions or formation days.

Students aged 16 and above with an interest in Campion or the liberal arts are encouraged to register for Summer Program or Winter Program. Our immersive, four-day programs are free to attend and provide the opportunity to reside on campus, sit in on sample lectures, experience college life and bond with likeminded peers from all across Australia.

Our Student Recruitment Manager is available Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, and can provide personalised advice regarding your application or any questions you may have about Campion.

Retreats, excursions & school visits

Visits to our campus can be tailored to the needs of your students. You may opt for a short campus visit that provides the opportunity to learn more about the college and interact with our students and staff. Alternatively, you may wish to make use of college facilities for a school retreat or spirituality day which Campion would be happy to co-host with you.

Campion College is located on a campus in Sydney’s west, at 8-14 Austin Woodbury Place Toongabbie. The property was originally a Marist Fathers’ Seminary but has since undergone extensive renovation so it is fit for purpose as a tertiary liberal arts college.

The campus comprises 10 acres of wooded land, surrounded by a residential estate but sufficiently detached and tranquil for the purpose of nurturing spiritual and intellectual life. Lecture theatres, classrooms, a grand hall, a chapel, a library, open spaces and sporting courts for soccer and netball can all be found within the college grounds.
