Dr Daniel Anlezark delivers insightful lecture at Formal Hall

15 Sep 2023

On Thursday the 14th of September, Campion College welcomed special guests, staff and students for Formal Hall. Our speaker for the evening was Dr Daniel Anlezark, a prominent scholar in Old and Middle English language and literature at The University of Sydney.

Dr Anlezark's engaging discourse centered on the historical significance of the Invention of the True Cross and the pivotal role played by Saint Helena, the mother of Constantine I, in this profound narrative. His presentation delved into the essence of storytelling, emphasising the profound influence of place in weaving narratives that resonate across generations.

The talk not only provided attendees with an enlightening exploration of oral tradition but also fostered a sense of intellectual curiosity and camaraderie among the Campion College community. See below for photos from the evening.
