Students celebrate Our Lady of the Holy Rosary feast day

Last week, students gathered on the lawn in front of a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary to pray together in honour of the Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary.

Led by chaplain Fr Piotr Kruk, the night began with a Eucharistic procession, followed by the recitation of the rosary, ending with benediction - all under the open sky.

The short service was reminiscent of Campion's regular 'Adoration under the Stars' event.

The Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary is much beloved by Catholics, celebrated in memory of the victory at the naval Battle of Lepanto in 1571, in which the Christians triumphed over the invading Ottoman forces after praying the rosary together.
