Alumni reconnect at Grand Opening gathering

06 Sep 2023

On the back of the Grand Opening of our new Academic Centre and residential halls, over 70 Campion alumni gathered for a reunion at the college. With attendees present from all graduating classes and a range of professions, the event showcased the diversity of our alumni community.

The group was warmly welcomed by our Alumni Officer, Tony Mattar, and our College President, Dr Paul Morrissey. After a short time of reuniting with old friends in the courtyard, our Senior Residential Tutor led the graduates on a private tour of the new facilities, with the library skylight proving to be a favourite feature for many.

The alumni then gathered in the Grand Hall and heard from various members of the Campion community, including Campion Institute trustee, Ms Erica Schuman, the Dean of Studies, Dr Luciano Boschiero and the Director of Development, Miss Yvette Nehme. Erica emphasised the College's wish to see every graduate flourish in their professional lives and the support which the college can offer them. Dr Boschiero provided an update on the College's course offerings whilst assuring all gathered that the liberal arts would always remain our core focus. Yvette spoke about opportunities for alumni to remain connected with current College initiatives and give back through prayer, word of mouth, financial support and active involvement in College events.

The evening was a joy for all who attended and a great opportunity to reconnect with those who had also completed their Campion journey.
