Campion Students to Return to Campus for Second Semester
Campion College will welcome students back to its Sydney-based campus for the second semester of 2020.
With preparations being made for a return to face-to-face classes later this month, President Dr Paul Morrissey said he and the other staff are looking forward to having the students at Campion again.
“I’m delighted to be able to welcome our students back,” he said. “Campion is not just a liberal arts college, it’s a close-knit community which thrives on the regular sociable interaction students enjoy with academic staff and each other.”
Like other universities and tertiary colleges, Campion moved all classes online shortly after the start of the first semester during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown in NSW, but will reopen its doors for the start of the second semester on 27 July.
“It’s been strangely quiet and a bit sad to see the campus empty these past few months, but I applaud our staff and students for their adaptability and creativity in keeping classes and the Campion community spirit going in these difficult and trying times.
In resuming classes, the college will introduce the state government’s safety guidelines, including physical distancing and smaller class sizes, hand sanitiser and other hygienic measures.
Dr Morrissey said the students were very excited to be able to return to life on campus and resume their degree as normal.
“We’ve had a record number of students apply to live on campus next semester, which is testament not only to how much they have missed being at Campion, but to the strength and appeal of the community here.”
Campion is currently accepting applications for Semester 2. For those who are interested in studying, please contact our Student Recruitment Manager on (02) 9896-9303 or firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible so we can process your application before classes commence.
