Campion welcomed MP Alister Henskens to speak at formal hall last week on his experience as a lawyer and a politician.

Mr Henskens, NSW Minister for Skills and Training as well as Minister for Science, Innovation and Technology, started off his career as a lawyer but spoke about his two great loves at university: philosophy and history.

"It's really important to know history to be able to deal with the present," he said.

He expounded on his role over the past two years, and explained that they looked at the Spanish flu to help inform them of what to expect in dealing with Covid-19.

Gathered students and staff were also treated to a performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "That's All I Ask of You" from The Phantom of the Opera, sung by students Ashleigh Mills and Oliver van Rensburg, accompanied by lecturer Jeremy Bell.
