Winter Program Welcomes Future Scholars

From 8-11 July, Campion College once again opened its doors to more than 60 enthusiastic Year 11 and 12 students from across the country for the annual Winter Program – a four-day immersive experience designed to give future scholars a taste of life as a liberal arts undergrad.
The program began with a warm welcome session, house bonding and bonfire on the first night, providing the opportunity for participants to connect and settle into their new surroundings.
Over the following days, participants experienced a mix of academic and social life. Morning and afternoon sessions were devoted to lectures and discussions covering key areas of history, literature, philosophy, theology and classics. Outside the classroom, participants tested their knowledge during trivia night, embraced the whimsy of classic literature charades, and shared many meals that brought the group closer together.
A highlight of the program was Wednesday evening’s Formal Dinner. In addition to a delicious two-course meal and stirring musical performances dancing, students were treated to an inspiring address by alumnus Jonothan Lethbridge (Class of 2022). Jonothan spoke about the ongoing value of a Campion College education, particularly the enduring sense of connection and community that continues to enrich his life beyond graduation.
The program concluded with a Q&A session featuring current students, offering participants the chance to ask questions and hear first-hand what it’s like to study and live at Campion College. Many expressed gratitude for the opportunity to explore the college and discover a place where both intellectual and personal growth are nurtured.
A special thanks goes to our incredible team of student leaders – Michael, Reshan, Horatio, Ed, Dominic, Daniel, Julian, Georgie, Vic, Ana, Naomi, Clare, Clara and Mikaela – whose warmth, enthusiasm and guidance helped make the week such a success.
