Campion College to Host Shakespeare Symposium on Shakespeare and Philosophy

Campion College’s Centre for the Study of the Western Tradition is pleased to announce the upcoming Shakespeare Symposium, to be held on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 September 2025 at Campion College in Toongabbie, New South Wales. This two-day academic gathering will bring together scholars and Shakespeare enthusiasts from across Australia to explore the rich intersection between Shakespeare’s literary works and philosophical thought.
They keynote address from Dr Kishore Saval explore the topic “Hamlet and Merleau-Ponty”.
Additional speakers include Dr Amitavo Islam, Dr Angela Schumann, Dr Colin Dray, Dr Jeremy Bell, Dr Julian Lamb, Dr Kate Flaherty, Emeritus Prof. Will Christie, Prof. Simon Haines and Simeon Casey.
Registration for the Shakespeare Symposium is now open. Two-day tickets are available for $90 per person while a one-day ticket will cost $50 per person. Concession pricing is available for current tertiary students, offering a 20 per cent discount on all ticket prices.
