Everything was painted green last Thursday as students gathered together to put aside their Lenten penances for a day and celebrate the Feast of St Patrick.

The Campion College Student Association threw its annual St Patrick's Day party, where Irish-themed games ruled the evening: a potato-peeling competition, Ceilidh (bush) dancing, a baileys coin toss and a best dressed competition (which went to Basil Dore).

Irish ballads and folk songs entertained the crowd, courtesy of several students and alumni who came together to play and sing for the evening.

It was the first CCSA event of the year, and the executive team is keen to make 2022 the year to reinvigorate college life after the disruptions of 2020-2021.
