Campion College formally welcomed its newest students on Monday 23 February, marking the official beginning of the 2026 academic year.

Students gathered with their families and friends for Holy Mass and the traditional matriculation proceedings,  signalling their entry into the academic and communal life of the College.

In his address, President Dr Paul Morrissey reflected on what distinguishes Campion College within the Australian higher education landscape. At the heart of his message was the College's distinctive approach to education, one that seeks breadth rather than narrow specialisation.

“Our intellectual formation is not narrow, but wide. It’s an intellectual formation in wisdom, in lifelong learning, and that’s a fairly bold and noble aspiration, but something that we are very proud of and really strive to achieve.”

The ceremony concluded with the blessing of the meal and a celebratory lunch on campus, giving students the opportunity to connect more deeply with peers, staff, and the wider College community as they begin their studies.
