Students and Alumni Gather for an Evening of Connection & Conversation

The Campion College Student Association (CCSA) and the Campion College Alumni Association (CCAA) came together yesterday for an evening of conversation, networking, and shared experiences, as alumni returned to campus for a special event. The gathering began with a panel discussion between members of the CCAA executive and current students, offering a glimpse into life beyond Campion College and the diverse career paths alumni have pursued.
Panellists included Paul O’Donovan (Class of 2011), Seamus Coulson (Class of 2017), and Kieran Jackson (Class of 2008), all of whom hold leadership positions within the Alumni Association. They spoke about their journeys after Campion College, reflecting on how their education shaped their careers and personal growth. They also offered advice on navigating the transition from student life to the professional world, emphasising the importance of making the most of the college experience.
“Half the things I learned here, I learned in the classroom, and the other half I learned back on that deck,” Coulson recalled, referencing the old student gathering space. “Being here for three years won’t turn you into a great person. Engaging with the content while you’re here for three years will.”
The discussion also highlighted the strength of the alumni network, which extends far beyond graduation. “So many people just don’t have that university experience, and it’s truly one of those things that you don’t appreciate until you don’t have it anymore,” Coulson noted.
Following the panel, additional alumni arrived on campus for drinks, canapés, and informal networking. The event allowed past and present students to connect, share stories, and discuss their aspirations, reinforcing the tight-knit community that makes Campion College unique.
With the success of this year’s gathering, both the CCSA and CCAA hope to continue fostering strong ties between students and alumni, ensuring that the Campion College spirit thrives long after graduation.
