Emma completed her PhD in philosophy at Victoria University of Wellington in 2015. Emma wrote her thesis, “Prospects for Moral Success Theory”, in response to the moral skpeticism of John Mackie and Richard Joyce. Her current research interests include the intersection between political philosophy, feminism, sexual ethics, and the ethics of abortion.
Since receiving her PhD, Emma has worked for the University of Notre Dame’s Institute for Ethics and Society, has lectured in ethics and philosophy of religion, and has coordinated a high school philosophy and theology program at PLC Sydney. She is currently a research fellow with Women’s Forum Australia and the Centre for Public Christianity.
