Emma completed her PhD in philosophy at Victoria University of Wellington in 2015. Emma wrote her thesis, “Prospects for Moral Success Theory”, in response to the moral skepticism of John Mackie and Richard Joyce. Her current research interests include the intersection between political philosophy, feminism, sexual ethics, and the ethics of abortion. Emma is a Research Fellow for Women’s Forum Australia, and a regular contributor to their blog.
Emma has a passion for teaching philosophy at both tertiary and secondary level. Alongside her teaching at Campion, Emma is currently building the philosophy program at Sydney’s first Catholic liberal arts high school, Hartford College. Prior to this, Emma ran the elective philosophy and theology course at PLC Sydney for three years.
