This page provides information on the many scholarships on offer for students at Campion College. These scholarships reflect our commitment to making our programme of liberal arts education as accessible as possible.
Our scholarships reward students for excellence and assist individuals who might otherwise struggle financially to undertake tertiary studies.
We encourage you to review the different scholarships on offer by clicking the links below and get in touch if you have any questions about scholarships, fees and enrolment.
Types of scholarships
Scholarship amounts range from $2,000 to 10,000 per annum.
In the case of non-residential scholarship recipients, the monies awarded may be used to offset their tuition fees or paid on a fortnightly basis into a nominated bank account.
In the case of residential scholarship recipients, the monies awarded for the receipt of that scholarship must be used to offset their College Accommodation fees.
Recipients of the Academic Excellence Scholarship receive the scholarship for one semester.
Recipients of other scholarships receive the scholarship for three years (six semesters).
All scholarships are open to undergraduate students studying full time i.e. minimum of 3 units taken simultaneously in one semester.
Academic Excellence Scholarship
Commencing students who receive the Academic Excellence Scholarship in the first semester of their studies must attain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 80% or more in their first semester in order to be eligible for this scholarship in the subsequent semester.
Continuing students who receive the Academic Excellence Scholarship in a given semester must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 80% or more in order to be eligible for this scholarship in the subsequent semester.
Commencing and continuing students who receive a scholarship in a given year must re-apply for if they wish to be awarded the same scholarship in the subsequent year. They are not guaranteed to be awarded the same scholarship in the subsequent year. In order to be eligible to receive it again, they must be able to demonstrate that they fulfil the eligibility criteria for that scholarship.
Competitive and merit-based
Students may apply for one or all of the different scholarships. Scholarships are competitive and awarded on the basis of merit, with the exception of the Academic Excellence Scholarship (which is awarded on the basis of academic results and for which, therefore, there is no application process) and the Early Enrolment Scholarship (which is automatically awarded to new students who enrol before the set deadline).
A student can receive only one scholarship at a time. In other words, a maximum of one scholarship per student per semester/year can be awarded. The exception to this is those students who are automatically eligible for the Early Enrolment Scholarship; recipients of this scholarship are not precluded from applying for and receiving other scholarships.
A scholarship application must be supported by a set of documentation that is tailored to the particular type of scholarship for which a student is applying.
If you apply for more than one scholarship, you must submit a complete set of documentation for each scholarship.
The documents required for each scholarship application are:
- Scholarship Application form;
- Written statement (one page outlining why you believe you should be the recipient of this type of scholarship);
- Written references; and
- Awards, certificates and commendations (as appropriate).
